Eating Takoyaki

Takoyaki

is said to have been invented by Tomekichi Endo, the founder of "Aizuya" in Nishinari-ku, Osaka Prefecture. It has a long history and was born around 1935, and is a representative of Osaka's local cuisine.

If you're going to eat, you want a delicious Takoyaki, right? Here are some stores that my siblings and I often go to, as well as some stores we recommend going to with our friends.

Takoyaki Doraku Wanaka Sennichimae Honten

(Source:Takoyaki Doraku Wanaka Sennichimae Honten>Menu)

Takoyaki Doraku Wanaka, with its main branch in Sennichimae, is highly reputed by locals, and many people name it as their favorite takoyaki restaurant. Wanaka was a sushi and confectionery store in Sennichimae, and was a typical store in the town that was familiar to children in the neighborhood.
The roots of "Wanaka" as "Takoyaki" can be traced back to when they started baking takoyaki at the eaves of the shop. After that, the confectionery shop was closed and "Wanaka" was established as a takoyaki (octopus dumpling) shop.

You can take out or eat in at the seats on the first or second floor at the back of the restaurant. The authentic taste of the dough, which overflows with the aroma of broth from the crispy grill marks, is irresistible!

Takoyaki is made with flour and eggs selected after much research, and flavored with kombu (kelp) and bonito dashi (bonito stock). The octopus inside the takoyaki is also infused with flavor.
Please try it for yourself.

The first characteristic of takoyaki from Takoyaki Juhachiban is its texture, a "crispy" type that is perhaps not found in other restaurants. With artisanal techniques to create a crispy texture, artisans bake the takoyaki in a circular motion so that the dough rolls around the tenkasu.

This takoyaki has a different texture from others.
