This website uses affiliates.

Vegan restaurants have been gradually increasing lately, but are you wondering which ones to recommend?

Especially when traveling, it is very difficult to find vegan restaurants in unfamiliar places.

In this article, we would like to introduce a recommended vegan café in Kyoto, "F(Effe)".

I will also tell you if you can make reservations at the restaurant, how crowded it is, and what kind of menu they have ✨.

In conclusion, if you want to eat delicious vegan food in Kyoto where the vegetables and ingredients are fresh and made with a lot of time and effort, ”F(Effe)” is the place to go: ❗️😁

And if you're visiting for lunch, get there right after they open, or make an online reservation if you're a deener ✨.

By the way, I love traveling, both in Japan and abroad, and have stayed in many different cities and hotels!

And the best part of traveling, "local gourmet" is a must, and I usually have a stronger passion for food than most people 🤗.

The entrance to the store is also very cute.

A couple runs the store. They opened the store in 2018 and have been a full-fledged vegan café since 2020.

The vegetables served at the restaurant are purchased from trusted farmers.

There is no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or white sugar, and the wheat is spelled and wheat made from original ancient grains.

Gluten-free pasta is also available, so each constitution (allergy) can be accommodated.

Breads and sweets are also made with rice flour 🍰🥐.

Whenever I come to the store, they always politely ask each customer, "Do you have any allergies?" and politely ask each customer if they have any allergies.

Their attention to food is amazing ✨.

The food is made with your body in mind, and the delicate dishes I had this time made me feel truly relaxed 😌✨.

What kind of food can you eat at F(Effe)?

Lunch Menu

This time, we actually had lunch.

I would like to quickly introduce you to the lunch menu at F(Effe)👍.

You can choose from the following three lunch menus.

Lunch Menu

  1. One plate set
  2. Curry set
  3. Spelt wheat pasta set

Regardless of which set you choose, the dishes change from day to day, so they write the details on the blackboard.

I chose the one-plate lunch because I wanted to enjoy a variety of dishes with my main dish!

First, I had soup and salad!

The soup was a kikumo(Jerusalem artichoke) soup. This one seems to be an ingredient that also has detoxifying properties.

It tasted very gentle and the temperature of the soup was perfect. It soaked into my body✨.

After that, a one-plate dish of beef stroganoff with soy meat was brought out as the main dish.

They all look delicious ✨.

The black thing here is not burnt, but roasted black carrots. Combined with the basil sauce, the sweetness of the carrots and the aroma of basil were bouncing in my mouth✨.

This is shiitake mushroom isobe-age.

It has a strong aroma of nori (seaweed). The shiitake mushrooms inside are soft and plump.

The zucchini quiche is also fluffy✨.

I wonder how they can make it so fluffy without using eggs and wheat.

Spinach sautéed with garlic also has a strong spinach flavor!

Pine nuts? They add a nice textural accent to the dish!

The sweet potato and apple salad had enough sweetness in the apples and sweet potatoes to make a dessert 🍎🍠.

And then there is the main course, Soy Meat Beef Stroganoff 👏.

The sauce here is mild without being too rich.

It is firm and filling, but not too heavy 😁.

Each dish made the most of its ingredients, and the flavors of the ingredients were highlighted in each dish.

If I had to use an analogy, I would say that the dishes were alive✨.

It was a very satisfying lunch!

I have also included the drink menu.

Dinner Menu

We didn't have dinner this time, but I checked out the menu to see what kind of dishes they have for reference👍.

Dinner is a course only, and you can choose from two types.

2.Today's chef's light course

I would recommend this restaurant for a relaxing dinner with family or loved ones in a fun, delicious and relaxing space 😊.

I would like to try dinner next time 😁👍

Do I need to make a reservation to dine at F(Effe)?

I'm a little concerned about whether or not you need a reservation to dine at F(Effe) 🤔.

As it turns out, dinner is a must. ❗️

It was a relaxing restaurant space, so there wasn't really a lot of actual seating. 2 seats for 4 people and 3 seats for 2 people.

Also, since the food is made with a lot of time and effort, regarding dinner in the evening, they mentioned that they only prepare food for the customers who come to the restaurant.

So, if you are thinking of having dinner in the evening, please be sure to make a reservation before coming to the restaurant.

You don't need a reservation for lunch, but it is a very popular restaurant, so customers start arriving here and there from 11:30 when the restaurant opens.

I arrived around 12:00 p.m. and the restaurant was full within about 20 minutes.

If you go a little later, you may not be able to get a seat at the counter or in the restaurant.

Reservations can be made by phone for lunch. If you want to be sure of getting a table, I suggest you call and make a reservation or get to the restaurant early!

Also, recently, it seems that many foreigners with healthy eating preferences are visiting the restaurant after researching it on the Internet, and there were about four groups of foreigners the day I went!

I guess the desire to eat delicious and fresh food is universal 😁.
