What is Halekulani Okinawa?

The original Halekulani is a luxury resort hotel with over 100 years of history on Waikiki Beach.

Halekulani means "heavenly mansion" in Hawaiian.

It lives up to its meaning, offering space and service of such elegance and quality that everyone wants to stay there at least once.

The second Halekulani hotel in the world opened in Okinawa in July 2019. It is the Halekulani Okinawa.

All 360 guest rooms are 50 square meters or more with ocean views.

It is very luxurious to have a view of the ocean no matter which room you stay. You can see the beautiful ocean of Okinawa from your room.

Access to Halekulani Okinawa

Halekulani Okinawa is located by the sea in Onna Village.

It takes about 75 minutes from Naha Airport by car, and about 100 minutes by airport limousine bus that stops in front of the hotel.

Halekulani Okinawa Lobby View

Since our stay was in December, it was decorated for Christmas.

Halekulani Okinawa is divided into Beachfront, Sunset Wing, and Villa wings, and you check in at the front desk of each wing.

This is the lobby and front desk of the beachfront wing.

Beyond the Christmas tree you can see the fountain and pool.

This is the lobby of the Sunset Wing building. It is an open-plan structure. There was a Christmas tree decorated here as well.

You can check in with a view of the ocean. The view was beautiful.

About the rooms at Halekulani Okinawa

What are the Premier Ocean View Rooms at Halekulani Okinawa?

I would like to introduce the rooms.

I stayed in a Premier Ocean View room, on the 4th floor of the beachfront building.

When I entered the room, there was a hallway with a toilet and closet on the right side and a bathroom (vanity, tub, and shower stall) on the left side.

As soon as you enter, there is a toilet on the right side.

The room is at the far end.

The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The lighting design is also stylish.

Two pillows are provided for each person.

The front type is for those who like soft and not high pillows and the back type is for those who like a good amount of down and feathers.

I like pillows without height, so I slept on the front type.

Across from the bed is a large LCD TV.

The interior is sophisticated, unified and stylish. The overall color scheme of the room was soothing and relaxing.

And on the table was a welcome gift!

It was accompanied by sweets and a message from the general manager. It's nice to see a little thoughtfulness.

The chest opposite the sofa holds a refrigerator, glasses, etc. On the desk was complimentary water and a Nespresso machine.

There was a charge for beverages in the fridge in the Premier Ocean View.

The drawer opened to reveal a set of cups and coffee tea.

The bottom tier held glasses.

There was no microwave in the room, but I was very happy with the food at the hotel, so I never wished to use it.

How is the bathroom?

In the center of the bathroom, there is a washbasin, a bathtub on the right hand side, and a shower booth on the left hand side.

There are two washbasins, so when two people stay together, one of them does not have to wait.

To the right of the washbasin is the bathtub.

The door at the back can be slid open, and the room blinds can also be opened so that you can see the ocean from the bathtub.

To the left of the washbasin is the shower stall. It is nice that it is separated from the bathtub. I took a shower and then took my time in the bathtub.

The towels were soft and fluffy, as they are all made with Imabari towels for comfort.

The shampoos in the shower booth are high-end "ROJA" shampoos. It's a luxury brand used at Four Seasons Hotel and other hotels. I was healed by this fragrance in the bath.

Incidentally, Halekulani Okinawa does not have a set of basic cosmetics such as lotion and cream for women. We recommend that you bring your own when you stay at the hotel.

This pouch placed under the washbasin. What do you think this is? It was so cute, so I took a picture first.

Well, here it is. A hair dryer was stored inside. Too stylish!

All rooms are equipped with "restorative dryers," which are popular as dryers that can dry hair without damaging it.

Halekulani Okinawa does not cut corners even when it comes to just one hair dryer. Everything about Halekulani Okinawa is luxurious.

You can fully enjoy the "extraordinary" experience you are looking for when you travel.

How is the closet?

The closet is spacious. There were also a lot of hangers on it.

The hemp tote bag with Halekulani logo is a gift for guests and you can take it home.

Slippers and flip flops are also provided. These flip flops are also a gift, you can take them home.

They also have the Halekulani logo on them to commemorate your stay!

Sandals were available in adult sizes, large (for men) and small (for women).

The closet drawers hold pajamas and hoodies to wear inside the museum. The pajamas were very comfortable.

Please note that you cannot take your pajamas home with you.

When we returned from dinner, our pajamas were ready on the bed. A message card and a good luck charm were also included.

The service was very attentive to every detail and really made my stay a pleasant one.

What is the view from the rooms at Halekulani Okinawa?

All of the 360 guest rooms had ocean views, so we had a good view of the ocean from our rooms, giving us a great resort feeling.

This is the view from our premier ocean view room.

Going out on the veranda, you can see the ocean even closer. At night, I was lounging on the balcony listening to the sound of the waves for a while.

The sound of rippling waves is soothing, isn't it?

This is a suite room, and we could see the ocean well from here.

It was very luxurious to see the sea from the room.

Summary(Halekulani Okinawa. (Elegant time in a room at a luxury resort that I want to stay at least once)

I was very satisfied with both the soft and hard aspects of my stay at Halekulani Okinawa this time.

It was a really nice hotel, very clean, with excellent service in every corner.

I saw many people with their children during my stay.

Halekulani Okinawa is a hotel not only for adults but also for children.

At Halekulani Okinawa, children as young as 0 years old can stay, and if a child under 12 years old occupies a bed with an adult, the room rate is free for up to one child per adult.
