Located at the entrance of Dotonbori, Harijyu was opened in 1919 by the first president, Kizo Fujimoto, and a few years later opened a sukiyaki restaurant and meat store in the middle of Shinsekai, a major shopping area at that time, which became very popular.
Since its establishment, Harijyu has been purchasing beef based on its own unique connoisseurship without regard to the place of origin. The most important point is that we only use female black Japanese beef.
Harijyu uses female beef with fine texture and low melting point of fat, which allows the meat to melt in the mouth and provide a delicious flavor.

Dining at Harijei
Seasonal appetizers are served at the beginning. Each is elaborate and colorful.
Then came the beef!This is a beautiful black Japanese beef with marbling.
Along with the beef came tofu, vegetables, eggs, and rice.
The first cooking is done by the restaurant. After being taught how to cook, we ate the food as we cooked it ourselves.
Beef dipped in raw egg is the Japanese way. It was the best sukiyaki I have ever had.
