Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort indoor pool report

Let me introduce you to the indoor pool at Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort.

The Blue Reef

The Blue Reef is a general refreshment space on the second floor of the hotel, with a natural hot spring bath, sauna, indoor pool and gymnasium inside.

At reception, you will receive a key to the locker rooms (changing rooms).

The interior inside is also stylish.

On the way, the locker rooms are divided into men's and women's locker rooms.

This is the entrance to the women's locker room.

The locker keys lent out at reception are marked with the number of the locker to be used.

Although not pictured, there is also a powder space with a hairdryer. There is also a hot spring bath, so a basic cosmetics set was also available.

There was also a dehydrator for swimming costumes, which was convenient as I didn't have to take my soaked swimming costume home with me. The locker room also has toilets and shower booths.

The swimming pool

The indoor pool is heated so that it can be used in winter. This is a 60 cm deep kids' pool. The waterslide can be used from a minimum height of 100 cm.

The kids' pool is about as deep as my second son, who is about 90 cm, can stand and still be as deep as his stomach. Babies were also in it.

My eldest son loves the waterslide.

This is an arm ring for hire. We brought one floatation ring, but arm rings and beat boards were available for rent.

This is a pool with a depth of 120 cm.

This is a rather large pool and my eldest son took on the challenge.

On sunny days, the outside jacuzzi is also used. The water is heated so it was not cold even in winter.

It's a liberating feeling to be in the pool with a view of the sea. At night it is lit up, giving it a different atmosphere.

There were plenty of daybeds around the pool to relax on.

Thankfully, there was also a toilet in the pool, which my eldest son often used.

The pool can be quite slippery if the floor is wet. My second son slipped a few times, so please hold kids' hand when moving around.

The following is a clear list of precautions to take when using the pool.

Memo.

  • The pool can be used from the age of 0 as long as the child is wearing a water nappy.
  • No swimwear rental.
  • A minimum height of 100 cm is allowed when sliding down the waterslide.
  • Swimming aids (arm rings) and beat boards for infants can be rented.
  • Towels are available in the locker rooms and pool, so there is no need to bring towels from your room.
