Basic information about Renaissance Resort Okinawa
Renovations were completed in March 2020, and the guest rooms, lobby, and restaurant have been redesigned.
This is the entrance. The wave-like patterned ceiling is impressive.
The check-in counter of the hotel is also stylish. The background of the counter is blue, which is interesting because it looks like an aquarium at a quick glance!
The elevator is surrounded by a stairwell, making the lobby quite open.
There was a talking parrot in the lobby, as is typical of Renaissance. It wasn't on a leash, but it was perched meekly on a tree.
The kids were looking forward to seeing the different birds that came out each day.
Since it was Christmas time when we stayed, there was also a "House of Sweets" event being held. Just entering the open-air lobby, we could fully enjoy the feeling of an Okinawan resort.

I stayed in the "Superior Twin". This is the most common room type in the Renaissance Resort, with a total of 180 rooms.
This is the smallest room type at Renaissance Resort Okinawa, but it was still 36 square meters in size, so I was able to spend a relaxing stay.
The sofa was big enough to sleep on and the whole family could relax. I'll go on to show you the actual room next!
the bedroom
I would like to quickly introduce the room.
I stayed in a "Superior Twin" room on the 4th floor.
Each bed had a bed guard next to it, which I had requested in advance.
At Renaissance Resort Okinawa, the following items can be rented with advance notice.
- Crib (fee required)
- Bed card
- Baby stroller (A-type and B-type)
- Step stool for children
- Assistive toilet seat for child
We had one bed card attached to each bed this time. The beds were not very high and I was able to lay them down safely.
Here is a view of the side table. There was a phone, notepad, and clock. There were two electrical outlets attached, which was convenient.
JW Hotel Marriott Nara also had this, a wireless charger integrated with the clock. You can also connect it to your phone and use it as a speaker.
Since there is also a charger, it is convenient to have less stuff with you!
Behind the bed is a sofa and table.
This sofa has plenty of room for an adult to lie down! It's like having another bed and has become a relaxing space for the family.
The chairs across from the table were also comfortable.
TV stand next to the chair and across from the bed.
The first drawer had a hotel guide, letter set, and flashlight.
On the second level is a digital safe. The safe was a digital one, with a 4-digit PIN number to lock it.
Pajamas are provided on the third level. Prepared sizes include 2 adult (free size), child S size (80 cm) and M size (100 cm). Adult size 3L (from 180 cm) and child size L (120 cm) can be borrowed by calling the extension. The children's pajamas were a bit large.
The entire room was very clean, as it was renovated in 2020. The room had a relaxing atmosphere.
The minibar
The mini-bar is on the left side of the room, right after you enter the room, next to the washbasin. In addition to a kettle and free water, there was also disinfectant.
Ice pail and tea. I was happy that they had Sanpin-cha, which is typical of Okinawa. But I was disappointed that there was no coffee.
There were coffee cups and cups in the drawer. The cups were Noritake, a luxury brand.
The coffee cups at the JW Marriott Hotel Nara were also Noritake. (This may be a brand often used by the Marriott family.
Refrigerator was under the drawers.
The fridge does not contain any paid drinks. You can rest assured that there is no such thing as "I drank a paid drink by mistake!
It was very convenient to chill many drinks bought at convenience stores.
The water area
To the left of the minibar is a washbasin. First, let me introduce the washbasin and the amenities placed on it.
At Renaissance Resort Okinawa, the wash stand is independent and separated from the bathroom.
Here is a view from the front. The door on the left side is the bathroom, and on the right side is the wash stand. The closet can be seen in the front.
On the left side of the wash stand is a set of towels and amenities. The contents included a body towel, toothbrush, cotton set, comb, razor, and shower cap. Other items on the right side of the vanity were soap, a cup, and a hair dryer.
Here is the hair dryer.
There is also a chair under the washbasin to sit on for a moment. It was convenient when I used makeup and a hair dryer.
There is also a trash can under the sink.
This is the bathroom. The bathroom is a unit bath with a toilet and bathtub.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are in large bottles and are DHC's Olive Gold series. These shampoos are fragrance-free, colorant-free, paraben-free, and formulated with natural ingredients.
Incidentally, shampoos (L'Occitane) in single-use containers that can be taken home seem to be available in Deluxe and higher room types.
The Superior Twin room I stayed in did not have any. A bit disappointing as I was looking forward to bringing it home. But personally, I agree with the change to refillable bottles from an eco-friendly point of view.
There were towels and a hair dryer on the vanity shelf. There were enough for two adults and two children.
The closet
The closet is located behind the vanity.
Open the door and you'll find the closet space. On the right side there was also a space for hanging coats in the back. There was also an iron and ironing board stored in the closet.
Lots of hangers! There were enough hangers for four people.
To the left of the bathroom door is a suitcase storage area.
There were flip flops and slippers under the suitcase storage area.
The Superior Twin room at the Renaissance Resort Okinawa was easy to use, with the water area, closet, and mini-bar all in one place. I felt that the room was designed to allow guests to spend a relaxing time in the room because all the lines of movement were gathered in one place!
What is the view from the room at Renaissance Resort Okinawa?
All rooms at the Renaissance Resort Okinawa have a balcony with a view of the ocean! So I went to the balcony as soon as I got there!
The view from the balcony. I stayed on the 4th floor with a beach view. Even from the 4th floor, I had a clear view of the ocean!
It was winter, but the ocean was still emerald blue and beautiful! The view of the ocean makes me feel like I'm at a resort! I feel better when I can see the ocean from my room!
I sat and watched the ocean for a while. It was a luxurious way to spend time in Okinawa, relaxing with a drink.
