Are you wondering what kind of breakfast is available at the Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort and also about these things?

  • What kind of breakfast is available?
  • Is there a kids' menu?
  • How crowded is it?

I was curious too, so before I stayed there I read a lot of blog posts from people who had stayed there.

At Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort, you can choose to have breakfast at either the Japanese breakfast or the Japanese/Western buffet.

This time, I will blog a breakfast review at one of these venues, Zuientei, which serves Japanese food, using many photos.

At Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort's Japanese restaurant Zuientei, you can enjoy a Japanese breakfast filled with seasonal delicacies made from seasonal ingredients in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Japanese breakfast is not buffet style, but a style where tables are brought to you, so you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast even with children.

Incidentally, I have been in the travel industry for about 20 years. I have always researched and used various services and trends in travel, both for work and in my private life.

It was after 8am when we entered the restaurant, but we didn't have to wait.

Incidentally, the Japanese breakfast is not buffet style, but a style of breakfast where tables are brought to you.

We didn't have to go back and forth like at a buffet, which was a very welcome service for us with two toddlers.

If you haven't had a leisurely breakfast in a while, this is a good option!

You can get an introduction to the food on the menu list.

Once seated, we were handed a menu list and given a brief explanation of today's Japanese set meal.

The grilled fish seems to change daily.

There was also a list of dishes on the table.

You can choose between rice or porridge.

The Japanese set meals are as per the menu, but you can choose between rice or porridge.

We all opted for rice.

Hors-d'oeuvres unique to Okinawa available

The small bowls of food also came with ingredients and dishes that are unique to Okinawa and gave us a sense of Okinawa!

There was rafte in a small bowl! It's nice when a unique Okinawan dish is served.

Today's sashimi is tuna.

Sesame tofu and soaked vegetables are lightly seasoned and perfect for breakfast. The sesame tofu is topped with a delicious dashi julienne.

Today's grilled fish was silver Spanish mackerel. There was also a dashimaki egg.

The miso soup had green laver in it, which was very tasty.

By the way, rice and miso soup can be refilled freely, so you can eat a lot with delicious small bowls and side dishes!

The seasonal dessert is dorayaki.

Inside the dorayaki are not only red bean paste, but also fresh cream and pineapple! The pineapple accentuates the taste and gives it a new and delicious texture.

Non-guests can also eat for a fee.

Breakfast at Zuientei is free of charge for guests on the breakfast plan.

Guests and non-guests of the no-meal plan can also eat for a fee, with prices as follows.

Japanese set meal - ¥ 3,500

It is very tasty, so if you are interested, you should definitely try it!

If you book an overnight stay, we recommend booking a plan with breakfast for the best price.

Children's menus are also available!

The Japanese restaurant Zuientei at Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort also offers a children's menu.

A pre-school children's breakfast menu was available. The children were 5 and 2 years old, so the eldest, 5, could eat for 600 yen and the second, 3, for free.

This is the breakfast that came out. Too luxurious for free or 600 yen.

There was a lot of yoghurt, potato salad and other things the kids liked. There was also orange juice.

Children can also have more rice and miso soup.
